‘Horizon' and 'Catharsis' are two original compositions inspired by walks on the Durdham Downs in Bristol, around the corner from Alexander’s home. 'Horizon' reflects the scale and beauty of the sunsets, while 'Catharsis' takes a more introspective approach. Both pieces feature the Bristol String Quartet, recorded and mixed by Alexander, and form part of a wider collaboration with local talent, including poet Jules Landau and filmmaker Callum Chaplin.

A note from the collaborators

CALLUM CHAPLIN

 Filmmaker & Photographer

“Alex is a genuinely inspiring person to work with and one of the exceptional talents I have come across while working in film and music. He is a master of his craft and is fantastic to collaborate with for that reason. Courteous and professional throughout, Alex couldn’t do enough to ensure the project ran smoothly and without hiccup. He was a pleasure to work with and I hope to collaborate with him again in the future”.

THE BRISTOL STRING QUARTET

"Having worked with Alex on two occasions, both in the studio and on location, he was a pleasure to work with. We found him to be highly professional and competent on both occasions and would not hesitate to recommend him".
