ATTACK ON SORPE DAM
Role : Composer
Filmakers : Andrew Panton & Piotr Forkasiewicz
Music: Alexander Leeming Froudakis
Vocals: Manuela Lubrano
Attack on Sorpe Dam is a compelling retelling of the WWII Dambusters mission, seen through the eyes of bomb aimer George "Johnny" Johnson. Created by Andrew Panton and Piotr Forkasiewicz, the feature film was accompanied by a series of unique short films commemorating the 80th anniversary. Blending cinematic storytelling with original music, the project powerfully captures the tension, bravery, and emotional depth of the mission.
Alexander composed and produced the emotionally resonant orchestral scores for the short films, and wrote a tribute march that is played at screenings of the feature. The music honors the solemnity and reflection of the day, enhancing the visual narratives with depth and sensitivity.
