ABOUT

Hi, I’m Alexander, a British/Greek film composer and music producer based in Bristol, UK. I write emotionally driven, cinematic music that fuses  melodic orchestral textures with electronic elements, with a strong focus on storytelling and impact.

My work spans film, TV, documentary, trailers, and commercials, often exploring themes of human connection and the environment. I frequently collaborate with my partner, Manuela Lubrano, forming a composer duo for select projects. Together, we believe that music and image, when combined with intention, can inspire change, and we aim to work on projects that contribute to a better future.

My most recent work has focused on documentaries engaging with urgent global issues. Two recent projects, When The Floods Come, a Yugo BAFTA Award-winning film, and Death At Sea, a Royal Television Society winner and Jackson Wild finalist, explore the devastating impact of global warming and human rights at sea. Our latest project, Stone Biter – Saving The Arctic Kelp Forests, continues this focus on environmental storytelling, examining the fragile ecosystems of the Arctic and the urgent need for conservation. The close connection between music, narrative, and visuals across these projects earned nominations from the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, the International Sound & Film Music Festival, and RTS West of England.

Some of my work has also been featured on the BBC, National Geographic, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, including a string arrangement of Beyoncé’s Deja Vu used in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Noteworthy collaborations include working with composer Neil Davidge as an arranger and additional scene writer on projects such as All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, Britannia Season 3, Earth’s Great Rivers, and Earth Moods. Alongside this, I collaborate with Moving Target, a bespoke scoring house founded in Bristol with Neil Davidge and Timo Baker, crafting striking, original music for screen.

I studied a BA in Music Production & Sound Engineering at dBs Institute, followed by an MA in Composition for Film & TV at the University of Bristol, where I studied under Emmy-nominated composer William Goodchild. Alongside screen work, I have produced and mixed for artists and bands in the studio, helping bring musical ideas to life in a way that is sonically rich and emotionally grounded. Whether it’s a film, a series, or a record, I’m drawn to projects that tell stories and resonate on a deeper level.
